Valentine’s Day Snack Recipe For Kids

Cooking supplies you will need:
1 cup softened butter
2 cups flour
1 large egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 TBSP vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
Sprinkles
Food coloring
Frosting
Cooking directions:
In a bowl, have the children beat together butter, sugar, egg, vanilla and salt till the mixture becomes fluffy.
When the mixture is fluffy, have the children pour in the flour and mix.
Refrigerate the dough mixture in plastic wrap for 1 hour.
Next, have the children roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
Then, have the children cut out hearts with a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
After that, have the children place the Valentine’s Day cookies 1/2 inch apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake the Valentine’s Day cookies in the oven for 12-14 minutes.
While the Valentine’s Day cookies are baking, in a bowl, have the children mix together food coloring with frosting.
When the Valentine’s Day cookies have cooled, have the children decorate their Valentine’s Day cookie with frosting and sprinkles!
And, voila, the children have now made Valentine’s Day Heart Cookies! What a simple and delicious
